Farm Experience and Birthday Cards

I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother’s Day!

Last Saturday, we went to a cousin of Terry’s farm. The boys learned all about spinning wool,
milking a goat, bottle feeding lambs (Nathan is in the yellow shirt and Patrick is in the orange shirt), herding sheep, planting seeds, and castrating sheep. Believe it or not, Patrick and I stood there the whole time watching Jack castrate these sheep! You're lucky I didn't post THOSE pictures! :o) Of course Patrick wants to be a doctor, when he grows up. Nathan saw it once and then was done . . . a sand box was calling his name! :o) Although country life isn’t really for me, I really did enjoy learning about their farm and watching my men have a blast. That’s all that matters, right?! ;o)

JoJo asked for asked for some cards, for her boss’ birthday. He’s really into cars . . . this is the closest I could come to an automobile. The one on the right is larger, for a group card. The stamp set used is
Loads of Love (#115022) and Loads of Love Accessories (#115024). I love these stamp sets because they can be used for a lot of holidays and could be sent to a man or couple, very easily. I also used the Matchbox Bigz Xl and Top Note Bigz die, I ran through my Cuttlebug (with only the 2-B plates).

A few friendly reminders: Celebrate National Scrapbooking Month with Stampin' Up! from May 1-31, buy three packs of Designer Series paper and/or 12" x 12" textured card stock, and get one pack free! Mix and match your papers to meet all your scrapbooking and paper crafting needs. Also, to get a sneak peek into the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog when you purchase the brand-new Jumble Alphabet stamp at 20% off. This set of 52 die-cut, double-mounted stamps is perfect for scrapbooking because you'll never run out of letters! But don't wait—this offer is only good through May 31.

Hope you have a quality day! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

  1. FARM LIFE!!! I grew up on a farm. Your son was right on track heading to the sand box. JUST KIDDING! I have some good memories doing all they did because we had to. HAHA

Loved the cards as usual. How do you fit all your card making/scrapbooking in?
    Have a good day.

  5. I don't know if I could have stood the castration either. Not because I have a weak stomach... please I work in a hospital for goodness sakes. But I have a tender heart for animals and it would have bothered me. I know it has to be done... but still. I would have been with Nathan in the sandbox... LOL! Glad that they had a good time. I love the cards with cars on them... so cute!
