Where has August gone?!

Okay . . . where has August gone?! I can't believe Labor Day weekend is NEXT weekend! Christmas is only a little less than four months away!

We're planning on taking the camper to Springfield, Missouri (over Labor Day weekend) . . . could possibly be our last 'lil trip with our camper this year, depending on the Kansas weather! We're going to Fantastic Caverns
(a drive through cave), Lambert's (home of the throwed rolls), Wild Animal Safari, and of course Bass Pro! We just love spending family time in our 'lil camper.

I gotta tell 'ya . . . Jenny, Theresa, and I spent last weekend at the Suite Crop, sponsored by Creative Memories at Embassy Suites hotel. There were 65 rooms rented, just for the Suite Crop! I had an epiphany while we were there . . . have you noticed there is no such thing as a bulimic scrapbooker?! :o) Oh my gosh, we had so much fun! Have you ever done a weekend, with just your girlfriends? I'd never done anything like that before, without all my fellas . . . felt kinda awkward . . . but it was alot of fun, to be with a great group of creative women!

I brought alot of my stuff in an old rolling Christmas tree tub . . . we called it the "green
coffin" all weekend. The darn thing even had a warning on the lid and everything, that it's not suitable for people to lay in . . . I couldn't lay in it (it still had stuff in it) . . . but I could definitely sit in it! I think Theresa was ready to wet her pants while she took this picture, because she was laughing so hard! With all joking aside . . . I gotta tell 'ya, that thing can pack ALOT of stuff (not with me in it of course), it fits great in the back of my car, and it's rollers! BONUS! I'll definitely be bringing this to future crops!

Us gals are going to go back to Embassy Suites, for the CK Convention, in October. We rented their adjoining executive board rooms . . . oh what fun we're going to have! We figured that we could finish up any UFO (Un-Finished Objects/Projects)
there and since the convention is right down the street . . . it's perfect! No travel time!

I'm planning two school bazaars, in late October. I've already warned Terry (husband), because I'm having to purchase more paper, pails, and stamp sets . . . oh my! :o)
As I finish the projects, I'll post 'em here on the blog.

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Well . . . we got our 1st Grader off to school, this morning, and guess what?! There were no tears (Nathan, Mommy, or Daddy)! Patrick starts school on Wednesday . . . so I must be saving up! :o)

Theresa and I went to Archiver's yesterday, to get paper and stuff for this coming weekend. When we were there, we saw the cutest 'lil pails and thought they'd be really cute for teacher gifts later. The one they'd made was for a "Road Trip", with a tag for a gas card and it was full of candy. Since this didn't pertain to us . . . we came to my house and started making one, that was more for teachers. What do you think? Did it turn out cute? Archiver's only had 3 of these pails, but we needed 4 total (for our boy's teachers) . . . so I'd asked to be put on the list, once they get 'em in (they'd ordered 24). Well . . . after we'd made this one . . . we started another one . . . THEN we called Archiver's and we asked to purchase all 24 of them! :o) I have a craft bazaar, at the boy's school, in late October. Wouldn't these be cute to sell? We're going to sell them for $12 each (empty). We used some Stampin' Up! Designer paper and then ran it through the Cuttlebug. What do you think?

We did a crayon one . . . but I gotta get some cute ribbon for that. I'll try and upload that later, maybe tomorrow or Wednesday?! :o)

Well . . . going to take Patrick up to Michael's and get the ribbon. Hope you have a fantastic day!

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Celebrating Patrick's Birthday . . .

We celebrated Patrick's birthday yesterday, with our relatives . . . his actual birthday isn't until Thursday. Gosh they're going up so fast!

Patrick cracked us all up, when he opened Tata (Aunt Theresa), Uncle Bruce, Jackson, and Brent's present, and said: "I've wanted this my whole life!" His whole FIVE years on this earth?! (giggling) Too cute, huh?

Today, Brent (Theresa's youngest) is supposed to have baseball try-outs . . . but it's raining cats & dogs here in KC today! So . . . I honestly think Theresa & Bruce's day just opened up! :o) Oh what are we going to do?!?! Well, go shopping, of course! I'm picking Theresa up @ 11A today, to go up to Archiver's . . . she needs some supplies, for next weekend!

See . . . Theresa, Jenny, and I are going to a Suite Crop next weekend . . . just the three of us girls (with about 200 other gals at Embassy Suites)! :o) Gosh we're sure married to some wonderful men, aren't we? To allow us to go somewhere and crop all weekend . . . of course I think they like the whole time with just men around too?! :o) As my Dad put it yesterday, "A No Rules Weekend" . . . is he trying to make a statement here?!

I got this coupon, in my e-mail, from Michael's . . . for a coupon that is good today on 25% off, even sale items! Great deal, huh? Just had to share.

Have a quality day today! Thank you for stopping by my craft room!

I wanted to thank you all for welcoming me back! I feel so loved by you gals! :o) Thank you again! I really have missed blogging . . . now I gotta go back and read what all of you have written on YOUR blogs, to see what's been going on in your lives! :o)

For those of you coming to the workshop, on Friday night, here is the card you're going to make . . . by popular demand/request! I CASE'd this card from Jeri. We'd made this card at her workshop a few months ago. Isn't it pretty? Honestly. . . if you see a card, box, or decor item that you'd like to make . . . e-mail it to me! We'll fit it in and make it!

Tomorrow night is our Ice Cream Social, at the boys school . . . this is the first year that they'll be at the same school! WAHOO! Patrick isn't going to full day Kindergarten though . . . so Terry's day is still broken up in three hour increments! :o( I bet he's looking forward to next year?!

I've got a pretty rough work week next week . . . Monday is Nathan's first day back to school (1st Grade), Tuesday we have Kindergarten Conferences/Orientation, Wednesday is Patrick's first day at the school (Kindergarten), Thursday we have the boy's annual physical appointment, then on Friday . . . drum roll please . . . Jenny, Theresa, and I are going a Suite Crop (at Embassy Suites)! I'm taking off Monday and Wednesday . . . the rest of the days I'll be leaving early . . . ROUGH WEEK, huh?! :o) Wish me well! :o)

I'll try and play paparazzi tomorrow night, at the school social! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Sorry it's been so long . . .

Sorry it's been so long, since I last posted, but believe me . . . ALOT has been happening, since June!

Started swimming lessons . . . until 2 weeks into it . . . Nathan, our oldest, broke his arm from playing on our swingset (the break was too high, so they couldn't cast it - talk about walking on pins and needles!) . . . we bought a camper . . . and went to Branson on a week long vacation. Now, it's back to work . . . and in another week, it's back to school! It's been a summer whirlwind, but enjoyable all the same.

I'm having a workshop @ my house, this Friday night at 6:30P. Here are three, of the four, projects you'll be making (see below)! The card will be posted by Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by my craft room . . . I sure have missed you gals!
