Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day, to all who serve(d) in armed forces! Without you, we wouldn't be able to have the freedom, and luxuries, we have in the great USA! Thank you!!

Okay . . . here's the 3D turkey, for those coming next week! Now tell me he doesn't make your socks go up-n-down!? I dare you! Is this the cutest 'lil turkey or what? Theresa forward me the link to the gal I CASE'd/scraplifted this from. Even though he's got a Hershey Nugget, for a body, I still don't think I'll eat him . . . he's just way too cute!

Wouldn't these make just darling place holders at your Thanksgiving table?

Don't forget to mark your calendar for either Tuesday or Friday night @ 6:30P! I'll be uploading the other two projects . . . so stay tuned!

Thanks or stopping by my craft room!

I hope you're having a lovely day/evening! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Bookmark + Kids Crop Pictures

This is the bookmark that all the little Tiger Cubs made the other night . . . it's made with the Sizzix Two Tags Bigz die and the Scallop Circle punch. Pretty easy little projects for 6 & 7 year old kiddos. I was pretty proud of myself, letting go of my anal-retentiveness on that one?! :o) Honestly, he did really well on his bookmark, didn't he?!

Yesterday was the Kids Crop . . . there were a total of 5 kiddos. A couple of them still have a few pages left to do on their scrapbooks,
but I saved that part for last just in case of that. They all did really well and had fun dressing up their Build-A-Bears . . . I think that was their favorite part. Thanks to all the 'lil crafters for coming yesterday! I sure enjoyed spending time with all of you, AND your Moms too! :o)

Today, we had a downline meeting at Jeri's house. It was alot of fun spending an afternoon with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We had a mini-regional seminar . . . we watched a video with a few WOW demonstrations on it (you know the type that made you go "WOW" once you see how they did it), had our own card swap, and then created 6 projects from one stamp set! What an afternoon! :o) I'll have to upload all the pictures of our projects, they really are cute. There was one scrapbook page in it too! WAHOO!

Just a reminder, I'm having the November workshop next Tuesday & Friday evening. I'll finish up the samples and upload them, so you can see 'em!

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Kids Crop Card

Here is the card that the kiddos are going to make, at the Kids Crop this Saturday.

This will be easy-peasy for kiddos to do! The card is the Movers & Shapers Curly Label die and the Build-A-Bear is a die too. I sure hope they like dressing up the Build-A-Bear on this card! (That's kind of an oxymoron isn't it?) Heck . . . I even enjoyed dressing up this 'lil bear!

Terry and Nathan had their Tiger Cub meeting tonight. Terry asked for me to come up with a craft project for them to do . . . okay, he REALLY had to twist my arm on that one! :o) I came up with a bookmark, that they can all use in their Tiger Cub handbook. Terry said that the boys all had a good time . . . I'll upload the picture tomorrow, to show you. It turned out really cute.

One thing that I've had to really let go of not to try and sway them on what (or how) to do a craft my way. At first, it was really hard to do, but I've had to learn just to let go and let the boys do the crafting the way they want to. You know, it comes out very cute and their proud of what they did. Did you have a hard time with this, when you had kids?

I hope you had a wonderful day today . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Licorice Leg Santa

I went over to Jeri's house last night and worked on these 'lil fellas. They're made from Stampin' Up! punches and a set of Twizzlers. I'm going to do another craft show, on the 24th, and I'm going to make some of these up. Aren't they the cutest?!

I'm having a Kids Crop on Saturday . . . they're making a Build-A-Bear card, a scrapbook, and a little 3D scalloped bag. A few of the Moms have mentioned how they're going to ask for a electronic die cutting machine (did I stay politically correct there?) for Christmas . . . but they're apprehensive to let their kids touch it. Well . . . I'm not! What can they do to it . . . we'll be right there? This is the scalloped bag their going to make . . . along with some stamping (of course). They'll get to fill it with Starburst candy too . . . what kiddo wouldn't like that?! :o) I hope all the kids have a good time.

Today is bitter sweet, since it would have been our Mom's 70th birthday. This is one of my favorite pictures of "GiGi". She was holding Nathan, when he was about a month old (in 2003). Mom named herself "GiGi" when Jackson (Theresa's oldest) was little, which stood for "Goofy Grandma", and the name just stuck. Patrick, our youngest is named after her (as her name was Mary Patricia). She passed away about one month before Patrick was born (in 2004). She had a contagious laugh and was an absolute wonderful Mom, wife, friend, and very proud of all her grandsons! We so miss our 'lil ray of sunshine, but know that she touches us somehow and someway everyday.

Thanks for stopping by my craft room and be sure to tell someone you love them!

Cousin Day & Gift Card Holder

We had Cousin Day, on Sunday, and had a lot of fun! The boys so enjoy spending time with their cousins. They wanted to watch Bob's Big Adventure (in 3-D) . . . don't they all just look too cute, sitting there with their 3-D glasses on?! Theresa, Bruce, Tammy, and Grandmere all had fun at the Chiefs game . . . even though they lost!

For those of you that attended the October workshop . . . remember the Christmas Gift Card Holder we made? We're celebrating a friend's birthday tomorrow and we needed a gift card holder . . . so
I changed it up a bit and made it for a birthday!

Jeri, my upline, is having a downline meeting at her house next month and we're also having a card swap! WAHOO! It's so much fun to card swap . . . it's just like a cookie exchange, but with cards! Here's my card swap (the "snow" card below) . . . we have to make 10-12 cards. I can't wait to see all the cards I come home with!

For those of you coming to the November workshop . . . we're using the same card layout, but using a different stamp set. Stay tuned . . . for the rest of the projects! I think you girls are going to like 'em! :o) I'll give you a hint . . . it has something to do with the holiday next month?!

Craft Show

I had purchased a booth at St. Joseph's church Craft Bazaar . . . well, the craft show was yesterday and I have to say that with Theresa & Jenny's help . . . it was a success! We had alot of fun and met some great ladies!

We had two drawings: one for a stamp set and one for a free class. The winners are:
Stamp Set: Sara C. (Overland Park, KS)
Class: Cindy H. (Olathe, KS)
CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!

We were across the aisle from the nicest gal . . . Jennifer Goode. She has the cutest decorative gourds! Here's a link to her blog and Etsy shop . . . these 'lil gourds are
irresistible . . . Theresa, Jenny, and I all bought one! :o) We were giving Jennifer alot of flack, because it seemed that whenever someone would purchase a gourd . . . up would pop a NEW gourd that we'd not seen. I still swear that she had a secret stash somewhere!

We're having Cousin Day today . . . Theresa's boys are coming over in a bit, so that she and Bruce can go to the Chiefs football game today. The boys are SO excited that their cousins are coming over today!

Here's a picture of Jenny demonstrating the free Make & Take, it was a little gift tag. The three of us really did have a great time and enjoyed meeting all the ladies that stopped by the booth.

Getting ready for Craft Bazaar

I got up early, just as I do everyday.
The only difference? Today is
Saturday!

I'm making 'lil projects for Theresa and Jenny to do.
So they have things to create tomorrow and won't snooze.

I've gotta keep busy, so I've gotta go . . . it's crafting time.
Hopefully next week at the Craft Bazaar, I bring home
more than a dime!

Okay . . . I'm taking a poll. If you saw this at a craft show, how much would you buy it for?

I hope you have a great day today! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

October Workshop

I was hoping to post this sooner, but time has so gotten away from me . . . we celebrated Terry's birthday last night and then tonight, we celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary. :o) We did a combo dinner (birthday and anniversary), as we went to Red Lobster with Gary (Terry's brother) and the boys last night. Here's a picture on our wedding day . . . gosh don't we look young!?

For those of you planning on attending the October Workshop, here is the photo of what you'll be making! I know the Tempting Turquoise color is a stretch for me . . . but I just LOVE that and the Certainly Celery colors together!

I figured that it's never too early to make a Christmas Card Holder . . . right? Walmart has started putting Christmas decorations out, so why can't we start our Christmas crafting?! Besides, this will give you a couple months to make 'em . . . if you wish to give them to your loved ones. ;o)

Be sure to RSVP, via e-mail . . . if you're planning on attending!

Halloween Sweet Treats Card

Here's a little sneak peak, for the ones coming to the October workshop (October 14th & October 16th) . . . here is one of your projects!

When Stampin' Up! let demonstrators get a sneak peek at the new Holiday Mini catalog, I was fascinated by the Sweet Centers stamp set. I thought it was such a novel idea to incorporate candy in a card! Then when I found out that the Sweet Treat cups had adhesive that required they be affixed to the card? Oh no! All my hard work would have to be destroyed to get at that candy. I DON'T THINK SO! So, I went out on the Internet and found Michael Funke's blog (yes, an actual guy demonstrator) that made these Halloween cards and included the "pull" on it, to get to the candy. Once I'd seen this . . . I ordered the Sweet Treat Cups immediately!

I'm going to make a bunch of these, this weekend, to give to teachers and to sell at the Craft Bazaar too.

For those of you staying at Embassy Suites this weekend . . . we only have FOUR MORE DAYS! WAHOO!

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!
