Embellishing Again!

Hi there . . . from snowy Kansas and Happy New Year's Eve! I've gotta say that the boys are so enjoying time out in the snow . . . I really think Terry is tired of shoveling snow now though! :o)

While my guys were out shoveling and playing in the snow yesterday . . . again! . . . I took it upon myself to get even more Home Decor Elements up! :o) I'm on a roll aren't I?! Here's a sneak peak at one of the new Chalkboard Element (small - 13.95" x 15.95"), in the new Definitely Decorative insert! Ordering from this catalog starts January 5th!

I put this up on the door leading to the craft room . . . for a friendly reminder, as the girls are leaving, when the next workshop will be! :o) Here's your friendly reminder today, that the next workshop is Friday, January 15th @ 6:30P!

Shelli Gardner, CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up!, put it on a cabinet - leading into their kitchen . . . oh to have her kitchen! :o)

Okay . . . here's a 'lil sneak peak of your 3D project - that you'll be making at the Valentine's workshop, in a few weeks . . . a "Olive You" gum holder! :o) It's a retired stamp set, but I think it's cute . . . and fitting for Valentine's Day!

For those of you that come to the monthly workshops . . . what would you think of creating one Christmas card, at each workshop? This way, in December, you'll already have 12 Christmas cards done or if you're ambitious . . . once you find a card that you really like, you can purchase the items needed and get to making it (early)? I'll go with the majority.

I hope you have a safe and enjoyable New Year's Eve! Here's to a memorable 2010!

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Don't stand too long around my craft room . . . or I'll have to embellish you, just as I did my laptop! :o)

I just had to show you how I embellished my laptop! Any of the small Vinyl Home Decor Elements would work. I used the Flower Garden (small), but I've also seen this done with the Upsy Daisy one and it's really cute too!

I decided to take another vacation day, to be with my fellas. So my work week just got tougher . . . ONE work day this week! GEEZ . . . how am I going to manage that?! :o)

Can't believe that 2009 is almost gone! I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve & New Year's Day! Please be safe tomorrow night, in whatever you decide to do.

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Snowman Magnet

As I'm enjoying time off and spending time with my family . . . I've discovered that I could SO enjoy being a SAHM! I've really been enjoying this time with all my guys . . . I'd switch with Terry in a heart beat!

I've got some exchanging to do today . . . Terry purchased us a heated mattress cover for Christmas (as I used to put 3 blankets on top of the covers, on my side
of the bed). He thought I'd still be cold (my nature - I even wear sweats in the summer time too, in the house) . . . so he purchased a heated blanket as well! :o) The heated mattress cover is awesome!! It keeps me toasty warm! So, I need to take the heated blanket back,
since it's not necessary. I'm thinking about getting one of those Snuggies, for when we're in the living room. Do you have one? Do you like it?

We've been playing the Wii alot . . . Nathan is quite the 'lil expert tennis player and Patrick had a 178 bowling game! Who would have thunk that a gaming system would be so much fun?! The boys are really enjoying kicking our "tushes" on the games too!

I have been been making time to do some crafting too! WAHOO! We're having a downline meeting, on Sunday, and we have to create something from the new Mini or Sale-A-Brations catalog. I saw this Snowman Magnet, on
Dawn Griffith's website and changed it up a bit, to incorporate the new Mini & Sale-A-Bration catalogs. I used the Tote-ally Tess stamp set (for the sentiment, thought it was fitting for a snowman), in the new Mini catalog, and the Scallop Trim Border Punch, from the Sale-A-Brations catalog). Isn't he cute? I just fell in love with him!

These items will be available to you on January 5th! If you're on my mailing list, you should be receiving these catalogs in the mail
soon. Oh . . . just wait until you see 'em! For every $50 you spend, you get an item free from the Sale-A-Bration catalog . . . what a deal! If you're not on my mailing list . . . you can sign up for it here. You don't have to be here in KC either . . . I'll be happy to mail you these catalogs, for you out-of-KC crafters too! ;o)

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season! I can't believe the Christmas has now come and gone . . . I took off Monday & Tuesday, of next week, to spend at home with my men. We'll get off early on New Year's Eve . . . so I've got a REAL rough work week ahead of me (1.5 days)! GEEZ! :o)

Theresa and her family came over on Christmas Eve, for our traditional boiled shrimp dinner! Theresa made Mom's cheese ball . . . she had to modify since Kraft doesn't make Roka Blue cheese any longer. It turned out absolutely yummy! Great job Sissy! We did cut the evening short, since the weather was starting to get bad. Dad & LaDonna stayed at their home this year . . . since LaDonna was starting to come down with something and the predicted weather wouldn't be fun with a 2 hour drive home! We sure missed PaPa & LaLa though . . . and we hope LaLa gets to feeling better soon.

I did take some time out this morning, to create this digital scrapbook page on My Digital Studio. This was a pre-made page, I just filled in the journaling and dropped in the photos. Terry got me a 12" printer, for Christmas, so I can print these pages off! WAHOO! We have to network the printer first . . . but he's an expert when it comes to
stuff like that.

We've also had a snow blizzard here, in Kansas City! The snow started on Christmas Eve and really hasn't stopped! We did have a white Christmas though . . . something
we haven't had in years! It was beautiful! We've pretty much stayed inside . . . watching it snow, cooking, eating, and playing with the Wii. No complaints here though! :o) We are going to venture out today . . . after we clear off the driveway.

I hope the rest of your holiday season is merry . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Video from Santa

Okay . . . I just went through and filled in the blanks, explaining what Nathan and Patrick want from Santa, their ages, uploaded photo, etc. and I have to say that this is awesome! All you have to do is go to http://portablenorthpole.tv and fill in the blanks . . . this would be great on kiddos that still believe in Santa or could have a bit of disbelief?

We're going to have the boys watch it tomorrow . . . after we come home from Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Sqeakquel movie!! WAHOO! Terry is SO looking forward to seeing this, on opening day! :o) What we do for our kids, huh?

I had made a bunch of these snowmen grouping . . . but wanted to make something different with them, for the gals at my office. So I embossed Whisper White cardstock, with Petals-A-Plenty Impression Folder . . . then I dotted all the middles with a Real Red Write Marker. Whatcha think?

Just a few more days, until Santa comes . . . are you ready? Thanks for stopping by my craft room,
Peggy

Blog Candy Winner(s)!

Sorry I didn't post this yesterday . . . this weekend has been nuts, I'm sure as your weekend has been too (the week before Christmas).

Both Theresa and Tammy had equal number of posted comments . . . so the blog candy winner is . . . you BOTH won!

Congratulations ladies!!

Holiday Decorating + Fourth Project

We finally put up our tree over the weekend, later than we normally put it up, and decorated the house. Although I love the decorating part of it and final outcome, I've always hated dragging the stuff upstairs. . . and then packing it all away. Luckily, Terry helps bring it all upstairs and then helps me pack it all away. What a dear husband I have! ;o)

When Terry's Mom passed away, there was a cabinet in her garage that she'd put all her gardening tools in. When the kids (Terry and his siblings) asked me if there was anything in the house that I'd like . . . it was this cabinet. They thought I was nuts! I've just always LOVED this cabinet . . . we didn't have a buffet/breakfront, in our dining room, so I thought it would be great there. Can you believe they thought it was junk?!

Here is your fourth project, for Friday evening! I had gotten the idea, from a card swap that we had back in November . . . from Jeri. Her card was a bit different, I had to change it because I didn't have all the same stamp sets that she'd used. I think it came out really cute though . . . I just love the Jumbo Snowflake punch with the half pearl (from the Pretties Kit)! See you gals on Friday night!!

I can't believe that Christmas is just a little over a week away! Are you ready? We have one present to mail off, to an out-of-town neice in Colorado, and then I'll start wrapping! My main concern is to get our family to feeling all better, before then . . . we're having Christmas Eve at our house this year (with my side of the family), for our traditional boiled shrimp dinner! YUMMY!

I hope this finds you well . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Third Workshop Project

I'd found this at Dina's blog and thought it was SO CUTE! Here's your Hershey bar tease . . . when you pull up on the bow, it pulls up the bar.

Don't forget to RSVP (via e-mail) for the workshop. I need to know if you're coming on Tuesday or Friday and how many sets you're wanting to make ($10/1 set or $18/2 sets).

Poor 'lil Patrick is at home sick, with a temperature, today. When I called home, to find out how our 'lil patient was . . . apparently he thought it was pretty cool when Dad brought him cinnamon/sugar toast and orange juice to his bed on a TV tray this morning. :o) Hopefully it's just a little bug that goes away soon . . .

Hope you're having a quality day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

First My Digital Studio Page

This is my first My Digital Studio Page! My Digital Studio is a new Stampin' Up! product that does digital paper crafting (from scrapbook pages, calendars, DVD/MultiMedia, and cards). . . and it also coordinates with all the Stampin' Up! colors too (so you can make a "hybrid" project by adding paper, embellishments, and ribbon you already have)! Cool, huh? .

Don't look at the pictures too closely . . . you know how everyone looks on Christmas
morning?! :o) Nathan had decided to try his talent out with scissors about a week before Christmas . . . so if you look at his picture, that's why he's got a buzz haircut and you can see scalp (right in the front of his head)! I don't see him being a barber in his future!

This was a pre-made Designer page, so all I had to do is drag and drop the pictures in! Easy-peasy! You can also design your own pages too, if you'd like. Gosh I'm having so much fun playing with it and it's very user friendly too . . . you don't have to be a rocket scientist to use this software! I'm thinking I want to go back and embellish it a bit though, maybe with some ribbon/ties + add journaling . . .

If you're interested in purchasing this product, I'll be happy to demonstrate it for you. You can also purchase it directly off my
website and through January 4th, when you purchase My Digital Studio . . . you'll get a Décor Elements for FREE (up to a $16.95 value)!

I'll post your Hershery bar tease later! :o) Thanks for stopping by my craft room.

First snow fall . . .

Isn't the first real snow just beautiful?! Our local weather people state that we could get anywhere between a dusting to 8 inches . . . oh my! Good thing I got 4-wheel drive!

Terry strung the lights on our house last weekend too . . . I don't know why, but I'm a
very anal-retentive on straight/white Christmas lights. Doesn't he do a superb job?! Once I took the picture, I came in to let him know that we've (he's) got two lights out over the garage . . . (giggling)

Tomorrow, our company is having our annual "Winter Folly". Some of the associates do a skit, play music, sing, dance, etc. It's a neat
winter/Christmas program, to kick off the holiday season. I volunteered to make cookies (there is a bunch of us that volunteered to bake cookies). Our company has about 15K - 19K associates world-wide and about 90% are in the Kansas City area . . . not all of 'em come to the Winter Folly, but there are quite alot that do attend. I was watching Ask Aida, on the Food Network, over the weekend and immediately knew the cookie I wanted to try! She made these Honey-Almond Lace Cookies that looked scrumptious and weren't too difficult to make. I have to tell you . . . they are like you're biting into a Heath Bar . . . they're simply delicious! I hope they go over well . . . the small ones I made for the boys to try.

Tomorrow, on the way home, I'm going to stop off an pick up some Hershey bars . . . for the gals coming next week . . . is that a tease or what?! Once I pick 'em up, I'll post the picture of your third project. :o)

I hope you're having a good week . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Another December Workshop Card

Here is another card, that you'll be making at the December workshop! We used this Medallion stamp back in October . . . we're using it as a wreath this month! :o)

Theresa came over last night and we worked on teacher gifts. We stayed up until about 2:30A! Why is it that it seems that time just stands still and you can forget all about sleep deprivation, when just chatting with your sister or BFFs? I swear we could solve ALL world problems at that time of the morning, couldn't we?! :o)

We made mini Santa pails this year (about 14" in diameter) . . . but I think they turned out really cute! The belt buckle is made with the Stampin' Up! Curly Label punch and a 3/4" square punch. We'd made "real" size
paint cans last year . . . you could fill it with stuff, but it really did take alot of stuff to fill it too! After finding (and reading) last year's blog, seems that Sissy and I have a habit of staying up late crafting, don't we?!?! LOVE IT and wouldn't have it any other way though!

Since Patrick has the same teacher, that Nathan had last year
, I guess she'll have a mini matching paint tin now! :o)

We're going to make two other items on the 18th . . . finishing up the samples to show you, so stay tuned! I'll be sending out an e-mail reminder next week, but don't forget to RSVP on the December workshop.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

December Workshop Card

Happy December 1st . . . 24 days until Christmas!

I got all excited last night when I saw a Stampin' Up! envelope in the mail! WAHOO . . . it's the Petals of Plenty embossing folder!? NO! I opened it . . . and believe it or not . . . it was empty! That is the first time that's ever happened to me . . . empty! I called them today and they're sending one out to me 2nd day air . . . should be here on Friday!

Here is one of the cards we're going to make on December 18th, at the December workshop. Whatcha think? When I found this on Angie Juda's website and just fell in love! I showed the card to Terry and he liked it enough to ask if we could make this our 2009 Christmas cards! Oh geez . . . twist my arm?! I just absolutely positively do love this 'lil snowman group (along with the rest of the stamps in this Level 3 Hostess stamp set). I just love this picture of the boys, in their KU shorts. I took this picture on Halloween day, before Daddy racked up all the leaves . . . I got a bunch of 'em printed, to put inside our Christmas cards too . . . they just look so darn cute!

Don't forget to follow me and leave comments, for a chance to win the December Blog Candy! Good luck!

Hope you had a fantastic day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Thanksgiving Weekend + December Blog Candy!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Wow . . . we've had a packed weekend, as I'm sure the rest of you have also. Here's the four of us, at Thanksgiving. We made all our family favorites, so we felt the love of loved ones. Funny how the boys taste buds are getting more refined, so they're now liking the dressing, cranberry salad, and pumpkin pie. Oh boy are they!! :o)

On Friday, we only had to work a 1/2 day at work (the day after Thanksgiving we always close @ 1:00P). After work, we drove to Dad & LaDonna's house, to spend some time with them and winterize the camper.

Clinton, MO has their lighting ceremony & holiday parade on Friday night . . . none of us been before, so we drove to the square and enjoyed the lights and watched the parade. Longtime friends of LaDonna's spent the Thanksgiving weekend with them, Bob & Linda, and they went with us to the downtown square too. This was a mini version of the Kansas City Plaza lighting ceremony, but beautiful just the same.

There is a group of 7 of us that attempt to together (we try monthly) and scrapbook/crop. We've decided to have a little holiday swap, the only stipulation we made is
that it has to be homemade. Here's what I've made . . . but I'm not telling you what I'm filling 'em with! :o) That part has to be a surprise for the girls! I just love these 'lil jars, can you tell? I think they're so versatile with any holiday, to fill them with candy, etc. I can't wait to make these for Valentine's Day! We just might have to do something at the January workshop with these, for Valentine's Day! Whatcha think?

I've also been playing with our Christmas card. The embossing folder I want to use has been on back order, but should be here on Tuesday! WAHOO! Here's a mock-up of the card so far . . . I've got some tweaking to do (like change out the ribbon and use the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder). I used the new Simmer Paint too, that I applied with a Sponge Dauber.
If you click on the picture you can see the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint better, around the outside of the tree. I just love the little extra this adds. I didn't want to cut my embossing folder, so I cut out a tree in the center of some dense foam . . . this way it doesn't emboss where I want the tree to go. I got the idea from Patty's Stampin' Spot . . . except my shape is a tree (instead of an oval). I'm really liking the way the card is turning out.

Don't forget . . . the Online Extravaganza ends tomorrow evening! You can either order directly off my website or e-mail me your order, before 9:00P tomorrow evening . . . either way, it takes about a week for the order some come in.

Starting with this blog post . . . here's some December Blog Candy (for the snowman jar on the left)! The drawing will be on December 19th @ 12:00 CST. So be sure to 1. follow me (on the left side of the blog) and 2. leave comments often! Limit is one comment per post . . . who ever leaves the most comments wins (in case of a tie, radom.org will pick the winner)! Good luck!

Hope you have a wonderful day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Craft Show Yesterday . . .

Theresa & I were at the Eagle Glen Elementary School craft show yesterday. We had SO much fun, meeting new gals that stopped by, got to spend quality time with my Sissy, and hootin' it up with Jennifer. Jennifer now refers to us as her "Partners in Craft". Cute huh? :o) Here's the picture Jennifer took of us yesterday.

Thank you to all the ladies that stopped by the booth! Congratulations to Elizabeth H. from Raymore, MO on winning the stamp set drawing! WAHOO!

Once I got back home, Terry had dinner made (the Chicken & Rice with Celery Soup) . . . and the he helped me move everything back to the basement. I attempted to unpack the "Green Coffin" . . . but by the time I got home, we had dinner, I made a little jar for Theresa (for her to give to the teachers for Thanksgiving), and then I was starting to get a migraine. I took my medicine and poof . . . off to went to bed! Patrick came and snuggled with me . . . nothin' better than snuggling with one of your kiddos is there?! :o)

We're going to the Chiefs game today, with Theresa and Bruce. Even though the Chiefs aren't having the best season this year . . . I just LOVE the energy out at Arrowhead! I look forward to this day with them each year! GO CHIEFS!

I hope you have a wonderful day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Little Jars

Happy Hump Day! I hope your day has gone well.

I had seen this idea on Angie Juda's website and just fell in love with it! I e-mailed her, to find out where she got the little jars . . . and bingo . . . I was hot-tailin' it out the door! Luckily, I'm married to a great fella that understands the "urgency" to go get crafting stuff! :o) I think the snowman one would be cute with some homemade hot chocolate in it . . . perfect for a neighbor gift, during the holidays!

I'm going to make some of these little jars for the craft show that Theresa and I are going to be at on Saturday . . . Eagle Glen Intermediate School (from 9A - 4P). We're going to be close to Jennifer Goode too . . . the gourd gal that we met at the last craft show! She's so much fun! On her website, she's come out with ornament gourds . . . oh my gosh! This will be detrimental to my profit margin, on Saturday! :o)

Well, the little turkeys were a hit last night, at the workshop! I can't believe that
Thanksgiving is just a week away! Where has 2009 gone? Since this is one of Terry's "firsts", without his Mom . . . he was wanting to just spend Thanksgiving at home. We'll (of course) be watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade, during all the dinner preparations! :o) What are your plans for Thanksgiving?

We're having a Thanksgiving Tiger Cub Pot Luck Dinner tomorrow night. My DH is making his Mom's cranberry salad. I'll have to take a FoodNetwork picture of it and post it. It's very tasty, even with nuts, and it's a beautiful color . . . very festive!

Have a wonderful day . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

November Workshop Cards

Tonight the boys and I went up to a local pizza place and met a girlfriend for dinner. They make the best pizza! YUMMY! Terry was supposed to go with us, but decided that he needed to stay at home and racked leaves . . . did I squeak out of that deal or what? We got some BIG trees in our yard too! :o)

We got what they call a "King" pizza and between the three of us . . . there was ONE piece left! The boys snarfed it down like they hadn't eaten for days! :o) I had to get another whole pizza, just to bring home to Terry! Oh my, I can only imagine what it's going to be like 10 years from now . . . to feed these two fellas!

Here are the last two cards, for the workshop! I hope you like the fall colors as much as I do! I love this time of year!

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day, to all who serve(d) in armed forces! Without you, we wouldn't be able to have the freedom, and luxuries, we have in the great USA! Thank you!!

Okay . . . here's the 3D turkey, for those coming next week! Now tell me he doesn't make your socks go up-n-down!? I dare you! Is this the cutest 'lil turkey or what? Theresa forward me the link to the gal I CASE'd/scraplifted this from. Even though he's got a Hershey Nugget, for a body, I still don't think I'll eat him . . . he's just way too cute!

Wouldn't these make just darling place holders at your Thanksgiving table?

Don't forget to mark your calendar for either Tuesday or Friday night @ 6:30P! I'll be uploading the other two projects . . . so stay tuned!

Thanks or stopping by my craft room!

I went out to the Blogger help and I believe the issue with you leaving comments is fixed (I hope)! Thank you for bringing it to my attention!

Sneak peak for those of you coming next week, to the workshop . . . this is using the Autumn Traditions Designer Paper . . . I just LOVE the colors, don't you? Just wait until you see the 3D item! It's gonna make your socks go up-n-down, I promise!! :o)

I hope you're having a lovely day/evening! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Bookmark + Kids Crop Pictures

This is the bookmark that all the little Tiger Cubs made the other night . . . it's made with the Sizzix Two Tags Bigz die and the Scallop Circle punch. Pretty easy little projects for 6 & 7 year old kiddos. I was pretty proud of myself, letting go of my anal-retentiveness on that one?! :o) Honestly, he did really well on his bookmark, didn't he?!

Yesterday was the Kids Crop . . . there were a total of 5 kiddos. A couple of them still have a few pages left to do on their scrapbooks,
but I saved that part for last just in case of that. They all did really well and had fun dressing up their Build-A-Bears . . . I think that was their favorite part. Thanks to all the 'lil crafters for coming yesterday! I sure enjoyed spending time with all of you, AND your Moms too! :o)

Today, we had a downline meeting at Jeri's house. It was alot of fun spending an afternoon with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators. We had a mini-regional seminar . . . we watched a video with a few WOW demonstrations on it (you know the type that made you go "WOW" once you see how they did it), had our own card swap, and then created 6 projects from one stamp set! What an afternoon! :o) I'll have to upload all the pictures of our projects, they really are cute. There was one scrapbook page in it too! WAHOO!

Just a reminder, I'm having the November workshop next Tuesday & Friday evening. I'll finish up the samples and upload them, so you can see 'em!

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Kids Crop Card

Here is the card that the kiddos are going to make, at the Kids Crop this Saturday.

This will be easy-peasy for kiddos to do! The card is the Movers & Shapers Curly Label die and the Build-A-Bear is a die too. I sure hope they like dressing up the Build-A-Bear on this card! (That's kind of an oxymoron isn't it?) Heck . . . I even enjoyed dressing up this 'lil bear!

Terry and Nathan had their Tiger Cub meeting tonight. Terry asked for me to come up with a craft project for them to do . . . okay, he REALLY had to twist my arm on that one! :o) I came up with a bookmark, that they can all use in their Tiger Cub handbook. Terry said that the boys all had a good time . . . I'll upload the picture tomorrow, to show you. It turned out really cute.

One thing that I've had to really let go of not to try and sway them on what (or how) to do a craft my way. At first, it was really hard to do, but I've had to learn just to let go and let the boys do the crafting the way they want to. You know, it comes out very cute and their proud of what they did. Did you have a hard time with this, when you had kids?

I hope you had a wonderful day today . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Licorice Leg Santa

I went over to Jeri's house last night and worked on these 'lil fellas. They're made from Stampin' Up! punches and a set of Twizzlers. I'm going to do another craft show, on the 24th, and I'm going to make some of these up. Aren't they the cutest?!

I'm having a Kids Crop on Saturday . . . they're making a Build-A-Bear card, a scrapbook, and a little 3D scalloped bag. A few of the Moms have mentioned how they're going to ask for a electronic die cutting machine (did I stay politically correct there?) for Christmas . . . but they're apprehensive to let their kids touch it. Well . . . I'm not! What can they do to it . . . we'll be right there? This is the scalloped bag their going to make . . . along with some stamping (of course). They'll get to fill it with Starburst candy too . . . what kiddo wouldn't like that?! :o) I hope all the kids have a good time.

Today is bitter sweet, since it would have been our Mom's 70th birthday. This is one of my favorite pictures of "GiGi". She was holding Nathan, when he was about a month old (in 2003). Mom named herself "GiGi" when Jackson (Theresa's oldest) was little, which stood for "Goofy Grandma", and the name just stuck. Patrick, our youngest is named after her (as her name was Mary Patricia). She passed away about one month before Patrick was born (in 2004). She had a contagious laugh and was an absolute wonderful Mom, wife, friend, and very proud of all her grandsons! We so miss our 'lil ray of sunshine, but know that she touches us somehow and someway everyday.

Thanks for stopping by my craft room and be sure to tell someone you love them!

Cousin Day & Gift Card Holder

We had Cousin Day, on Sunday, and had a lot of fun! The boys so enjoy spending time with their cousins. They wanted to watch Bob's Big Adventure (in 3-D) . . . don't they all just look too cute, sitting there with their 3-D glasses on?! Theresa, Bruce, Tammy, and Grandmere all had fun at the Chiefs game . . . even though they lost!

For those of you that attended the October workshop . . . remember the Christmas Gift Card Holder we made? We're celebrating a friend's birthday tomorrow and we needed a gift card holder . . . so
I changed it up a bit and made it for a birthday!

Jeri, my upline, is having a downline meeting at her house next month and we're also having a card swap! WAHOO! It's so much fun to card swap . . . it's just like a cookie exchange, but with cards! Here's my card swap (the "snow" card below) . . . we have to make 10-12 cards. I can't wait to see all the cards I come home with!

For those of you coming to the November workshop . . . we're using the same card layout, but using a different stamp set. Stay tuned . . . for the rest of the projects! I think you girls are going to like 'em! :o) I'll give you a hint . . . it has something to do with the holiday next month?!

Craft Show

I had purchased a booth at St. Joseph's church Craft Bazaar . . . well, the craft show was yesterday and I have to say that with Theresa & Jenny's help . . . it was a success! We had alot of fun and met some great ladies!

We had two drawings: one for a stamp set and one for a free class. The winners are:
Stamp Set: Sara C. (Overland Park, KS)
Class: Cindy H. (Olathe, KS)
CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!

We were across the aisle from the nicest gal . . . Jennifer Goode. She has the cutest decorative gourds! Here's a link to her blog and Etsy shop . . . these 'lil gourds are
irresistible . . . Theresa, Jenny, and I all bought one! :o) We were giving Jennifer alot of flack, because it seemed that whenever someone would purchase a gourd . . . up would pop a NEW gourd that we'd not seen. I still swear that she had a secret stash somewhere!

We're having Cousin Day today . . . Theresa's boys are coming over in a bit, so that she and Bruce can go to the Chiefs football game today. The boys are SO excited that their cousins are coming over today!

Here's a picture of Jenny demonstrating the free Make & Take, it was a little gift tag. The three of us really did have a great time and enjoyed meeting all the ladies that stopped by the booth.

Getting ready for Craft Bazaar

I got up early, just as I do everyday.
The only difference? Today is
Saturday!

I'm making 'lil projects for Theresa and Jenny to do.
So they have things to create tomorrow and won't snooze.

I've gotta keep busy, so I've gotta go . . . it's crafting time.
Hopefully next week at the Craft Bazaar, I bring home
more than a dime!

Okay . . . I'm taking a poll. If you saw this at a craft show, how much would you buy it for?

I hope you have a great day today! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

October Workshop

I was hoping to post this sooner, but time has so gotten away from me . . . we celebrated Terry's birthday last night and then tonight, we celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary. :o) We did a combo dinner (birthday and anniversary), as we went to Red Lobster with Gary (Terry's brother) and the boys last night. Here's a picture on our wedding day . . . gosh don't we look young!?

For those of you planning on attending the October Workshop, here is the photo of what you'll be making! I know the Tempting Turquoise color is a stretch for me . . . but I just LOVE that and the Certainly Celery colors together!

I figured that it's never too early to make a Christmas Card Holder . . . right? Walmart has started putting Christmas decorations out, so why can't we start our Christmas crafting?! Besides, this will give you a couple months to make 'em . . . if you wish to give them to your loved ones. ;o)

Be sure to RSVP, via e-mail . . . if you're planning on attending!

Halloween Sweet Treats Card

Here's a little sneak peak, for the ones coming to the October workshop (October 14th & October 16th) . . . here is one of your projects!

When Stampin' Up! let demonstrators get a sneak peek at the new Holiday Mini catalog, I was fascinated by the Sweet Centers stamp set. I thought it was such a novel idea to incorporate candy in a card! Then when I found out that the Sweet Treat cups had adhesive that required they be affixed to the card? Oh no! All my hard work would have to be destroyed to get at that candy. I DON'T THINK SO! So, I went out on the Internet and found Michael Funke's blog (yes, an actual guy demonstrator) that made these Halloween cards and included the "pull" on it, to get to the candy. Once I'd seen this . . . I ordered the Sweet Treat Cups immediately!

I'm going to make a bunch of these, this weekend, to give to teachers and to sell at the Craft Bazaar too.

For those of you staying at Embassy Suites this weekend . . . we only have FOUR MORE DAYS! WAHOO!

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Did you think I fell off the face of the earth?! :o) Gosh, it's been super busy at home and at work!

Dad asked Theresa and I to set aside a day, that we could get together at his house, to go through the last of our Mom's belongings. Between our schedules, it is the middle of November! It's just crazy and then boom . . . we're into the holiday season! Oh my gosh!

Terry (my DH), and another school Dad, are Tiger Cub Leaders . . . yes, I'm a Tiger Cub Mom and couldn't be prouder! Just look at that 'lil man?! They're going on their first camp-out this weekend! Nathan is SO excited!

There is a bunch of us gals getting together the following weekend, for a scrapbook convention here in Kansas City. We're all staying at the Embassy Suites, on Thursday
and Friday night. This little Halloween project was on the Stampin' Up! website and once I saw it, I just had to purchase the stamp set and make it! Is it cute or what?! It fits two (or three) of the little mini candy bars . . . great for giving a little somethin'-somethin' to those next-door neighbors. Hope you gals enjoy making them, 'cause for those of you comin' . . . they're in your welcome packet!

The weekend before Halloween, I'm a vendor at a Craft Bazaar. It's going to be at St. Joseph Elementary School, in Shawnee. Theresa and Jenny have been nice enough to volunteer to help me. The Bazaar is from 9:00A - 4:00P.
Just e-mail me if you need directions . . . we love to see a friendly face or two! :o)

I'll try to post more frequently . . . I'll really try!!
