Blue & Gold Banquet Scrapbook Page

I wanted to scrapbook Nathan's Blue & Gold Banquet, from last week. He got his Bobcat badge, along with his pack-mates.

I'd taken a My Digital Studio webinar this week, where Patty Bennett showed all of us
how to use our "Opacity" buttons in our MDS backgrounds. I just had to try it out! The clipart did pixelate . . . but I'm okay with it.

I put the boys names under them, so in 10-15 years . . . we can remember their names! :o) Nathan couldn't understand why I didn't put his name on there too! Too funny! Gosh he cracks me up sometimes!

I took tomorrow off, to spend some time with my fellas. Patrick's all excited, because I'm taking and picking them up from school. I've gotta enjoy this while I can . . . they're not going to want me to come within a mile of the school, in a few more years . . . right?! :o)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

My Digital Studio Page . . .

This is Patrick's first 6 birthdays digital scrapbook page. Since he's not six yet, there is a "TBD" picture in August placeholder.

In looking at both of the boy's scrapbook pages, you might see a common thing . . . OTHER than layout . . . their 1st birthday pictures! Don't those pictures just make you laugh/smile?!

Patrick was giggling pretty hard, in looking at his 1st birthday photo last night. Hands down, I think Patrick did a better job (over Nathan) at putting more of the chocolate on himself! I'll just have to show you his 6th birthday photo, once it's taken & in place!

We're so lucky, to have two such great 'lil men! It's been so much fun, putting these two scrapbook pages together . . . I'm so looking forward to scrapbooking the rest of their lives & birthdays.

I'll bring my laptop to the Spring Fling workshop weekend, in March, so those of you that want to see My Digital Studio in action . . . you can play with it! Okay?

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!
Peggy

p.s. On Patrick's 1st birthday . . . this is a picture of Nathan and Grandma Betty laughing at Patrick, devouring his cake. Priceless isn't it? :o) Grandma Betty was laughing so hard she was crying! Gosh we sure miss her!!

Haiti Relief

Wanted to update you on the effort Stampin' Up! has done, on the Haitai Relief. GREAT JOB!

There are just a few days left to participate in Stampin′ Up!’s Haitian relief efforts! Until February 28, 2010, Stampin′ Up! is setting aside $2 from the sale of select stamp sets to be donated to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund.

So far, demonstrators & customers around the world have purchased 11,895 sets, which equates to over $20,000 to be donated to this fund--but don’t stop now! You still have five days left (including today) to participate in this effort and join others in making a difference in lives of those who continue to suffer in Haiti.

Thank you very much, to everyone who purchased this stamp set . . .

My Digital Studio Page . . .

I was playing with My Digital Studio (MDS) tonight and created this page. I really liked the way you can see how Nathan has changed over the years.

He was laughing pretty hard, when he saw his 1st birthday picture. Grandma Betty made that birthday cake for him! He sure went to town on that chocolate cake! :o) Isn't that just the cutest picture?! We'll have to create Patrick's page next! I saved Nathan's page as a template, so I can just drag and drop Patrick's into the same layout!

The one thing I absolutely LOVE about MDS is that everything matches and if you choose to make it a "hybrid" page (add your embellishments) . . . it'll match with the rest of your Stampin' Up! colors!

I'll share Patrick's page, when we get that done . . . thanks for stopping by my craft room!

My organized punch wall . . .

I just absoultely hate this time of year . . . time for me to do all the inventory (for tax purposes)! ARGH! I do a little bit each night, so it's not so overwhelming. My only saving grace is taking a little time out breaks, like now, to share parts of my craft room with you.

I'd shown you this, back in March '09 . . . but my punches have multiplied since then! :o) So . . . here's my updated punch wall! I got all my Stampin' Up! punches organized on towel bars. I purchased the top three racks at Nuts & Bolts (hardware store not too far from our home). The baskets and bottom rack were purchased at IKEA . . . these little baskets are perfect, for smaller items (ie: small punches and bottles).
I remember our Mom having these towel racks (top three racks) growing up . . . did you have 'em too? These aren't rounded, like they are now. Did you have these growing up too?

Okay . . . I guess I'd better get back to doing inventory. :o( Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Spring Fling Projects

All the Stampin' Up! C.O.W. (Coloring Our World) members are working very hard, to come up with projects and give-aways at the Spring Fling Weekend Crop! We're going to have a meeting next Saturday, for all the finishing touches! I've heard about some of the projects . . . oh my are they going to make your socks go up & down!! :o) It's not too late, if you care to join us, just e-mail me!!

For those of you coming to the Spring Fling weekend . . . these are the two projects you'll be making at my suite! The square glass votive has a piece of Chocolate Chip vinyl on it and a 3"x3" card, using the A Flower for all Seasons stamp set. The glass votive could be used as either a candle holder or a pen/pencil holder . . . I use it in my craft room, for a pen/pencil holder, for when my gals want to place orders. :o)

We are going to have so much fun that weekend AND it's when the Big XII basketball tournament is in town too . . . bet there will be lots of basketball watching! I can hardly wait!!

I'll try and snap a picture, next weekend, so you can see sneak a peak at all these creative women! I'm very lucky, so be surrounded by their creativity!

I hope you're enjoying your weekend! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Last of the projects . . .

Here are the last two projects, or the February workshop. I just love the 'lil Build a Bear fella . . . he's just so darn cute!

If you ever "need" a card idea . . . be sure to send me your request. I'll try and come up with something, for the next workshop! ;o)

Also . . . a friendly reminder . . . the Spring ling registration forms & fees are due to Jeri or me by 2/26 at 12P. That's less than two weeks away! We are planning hourly drawings for you and passport projects, brought to you by the C.O.W. (Coloring Our World) Team. We (everyone attending) will all be voting on the best decorated door . . . so
don't forget to start planning on your door decorations! The Spring Fling Weekend is less than a month away now . . . OMG . . . I can hardly wait!

Thanks for stopping by craft room!

Milk Carton Die

Here's your 3-D project, for Friday night! Whatcha think?!?! Cute, huh? We're going to be doing two other cards too . . . so stay tuned!

We're going to be using the
Mini Milk Carton Bigz die,
Eggcoutrements stamp set, Extra Large Two Step Bird punch, Scallop Edge Punch, and Well Scripted stamp set. The two stamp sets and the bird punch are all found in the new Occasions Mini catalog (available through April 30th).

I'd had so much fun yesterday playing downstairs, having extra time with my 'lil men, and just taking it easy. Back to work & school tomorrow. I imagine Terry's (my DH & SAHD) excited to have us all back out of the house during the day! :o)

We've had some busy weekends, in February! We drove to St. Louis, the first weekend weekend in February for MonsterJam! Then we had the opportunity to go again last Friday, here in Kansas City. After going to St. Louis for three years in a row . . . nothing can compare to MonsterJam @ the Edwards Jones Dome! Although our fellas did have fun, on Friday night, it was a disappointment since alot of the well named trucks don't come to KC. :o( Theresa did warn me . . . but you know, somethings you just gotta find out for yourself, right? We've come to the conclusion that we'll continue driving to St. Louis, for our annual MonsterJam trip. The boys think it's pretty cool anyway . . . because we stay in a hotel! :o) Few more years and they're not going to be so easy to please . . . right?!

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Mr. & Mrs.

We have the day off, from work today . . . so I'm enjoying spending time downstairs today! Really had to twist my arm on that one! :o)

A friend of Jenny's daughter, Kendall, is getting married next year. Apparently she's wanting to come up with a party favor, to give to their guests.
Jenny showed her the little scalloped bag we made, last year, in one of the workshops.

Here are all the products needed, for this 'lil project: Bag W/Scallops Bigz Xl die, Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set, Certainly Celery ribbon, ink, and cardstock . . . along with the Tiny Tags stamp set (for the Mr. & Mrs), and the Jewelry Tag Punch.

Apparently Kendall is wanting a green in her wedding, similar to the Kiwi Kiss color, for her bridesmaids dresses. Kiwi Kiss is a discontinued color, from last year though . . . so I substituted it with Certainly Celery instead. I'll give it to Kendall to take home on Friday, when she's here for the workshop . . .

Okay . . . gotta get back to stampin', so I can show you the rest of your projects on Friday night! Don't forget to RSVP, if you haven't already.

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope all you crafty gals out there are having a wonderful Valentine's Day! We just back from going out to a scrumptious dinner at J. Gilbert's restaurant . . . they're known for their wood-fired steaks. They ARE might tasty steaks too . . . no sauce needed there! I had a fantastic time with my fellas!

Next Friday is the next monthly workshop (@ 6:30P) . . . here's one of your projects. Remember we're going to do one Christmas card, each month? Well . . . here's your February Christmas card . . . you'd need some
Real Red & Basic Black cardstock, Top Note die, a basic hole punch, and the Heard from the Heart stamp set! With the way it's snowing outside . . . it's not too hard to think about Christmas right now, is it?! :o)

I hope you're enjoying your Valentine's Day! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Spring Fling Crop Weekend

Guess what?!?! The Spring Fling Crop weekend is one month from Friday (3/12 - 3/14). . . can you believe it?!?!

Each of the demonstrators attending are coming up with two Make & Take projects for your passport, which is included in your registration price! BONUS! You will have all weekend to complete your passport projects . . . so there is no need to rush! :o) Once your passport is filled in . . . turn in your passport and you'll be entered for a chance to win one of the prizes. Here's what one of my M&T projects will be for you, using the A Flowers For All Seasons stamp set. I'll post the other project in the upcoming weeks!

I'm so into these 'lil 3x3 cards lately. They're quick and simple . . . but still filled with the same amount of love! :o) Sunflowers . . . ladybugs . . . how much more springy can you get?!

Don't forget to get your registrations turned in by the 26th of February at noon. If you need a registration form, please e-mail me.

Branch Out Stamp Set

Live, Laugh, and Love . . . it's what we do with our girlfriends and our dear family members!

Theresa (AKA: Sissy) and I made three of these, back in the middle of January . . . but she made me promise I wouldn't post a picture until
after Cara's birthday . . . see Theresa made Cara one for her birthday! Hope you enjoying your birthday gift Cara! ;o)

Sissy even surprised me with a frame of my own too! WAHOO! Mine immediately went on a wall in my craft room, but when Cara & Theresa came over, to make their purses . . . I had to take it down and put it in the closet, to hide it from Cara! Oh we're so sneaky, aren't we?! :o)

Sissy did all the stamping . . . I did matting and letter cutting. :o) We used the Branch Out stamp set, which is such so cute, but unfortunately, it's been retired . . . maybe SU! will bring it back some day?! I can hope, can't I?
Sissy had made one for Tammy too, for Christmas . . . with Live, Laugh, Love, and Friends on hers (on the tops and bottoms of the stamped images, instead of between the stamped images). Didn't Sissy do an awesome job?!

I always have so much fun, spending an afternoon crafting with my sister! :o)

Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Well wishes . . .

Jeri, my SU! upline, is going to have surgery today and tomorrow. Her physicians are going to remove some cancerous skin on her lower eyelid. Apparently this kind of cancer is due to her being a sun godess, when she was younger. When we had our downline meeting, a few weeks ago, Jeri couldn't stress enough for all of us (and our children) to wear sunscreen whenever we're out in the sun. I made her this card, to send her well wishes. Please keep Jeri in your thoughts and prayers.

I used the Whimsical Words stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, which you can get free with a $50 order. Can I say that I LOVE this stamp set?! I also used 1-1/4" Striped Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Vellum paper. The vellum paper was run through the Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.

Hopefully Jeri will have a speedy recovery and be back to her 'ole stampin' self real soon! :o) Thanks for stopping by my craft room!
