The boys are counting the hours, until Cousin Night tonight! I think Terry and I are just as excited as they are too! :o) Theresa and Bruce (on the other hand) are probably counting the hours, for what's left of their sanity! :o)
Melanie, a friend of mine, had a birthday last week . . . she was having a rough time with it, because now she's closer to 50 than she is to 40! Happens to the best of us, right? We tried to explain to her that age is just a number . . . it's all about how you live your everyday life, on how old you really are. With that in mind . . . believe me, she's a spring chicken!
Here's the birthday card I made for Melanie . . . simplicity was the key here! I used the Cuttlebug Birthday embossing folder (used my glue pen inside one of the birthdays and then glittered it), Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge punch, ribbon that I had on hand, Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette card stock, and the polka dot paper is the Stampin' Up! Bella Rose designer paper. I sanded down all the edges with my Stampin' Up! Sanding Block. I gotta tell 'ya, the Bella Rose DSP has got to be one of my favorites to use. I have saved every little scrap of it! :o)
I couldn't believe it, but Terry actually turned on the air conditioner yesterday! I was quite comfortable . . . but I'm normally always on the cold side, compared to everyone else (as I'm sitting here with a sweatshirt and jammie pants on)! Terry's doing laundry . . . so I'm going to take our front storm door screen into the hardware store today . . . it got a bit skewed when Terry was attempting to tighten the screen in. :o) Getting it fixed will allow a nice breeze through our living room though. Off I go . . .
Have a great day today, stay cool, and thanks for stopping by my craft room!
