My Digital Studio

Stampin' Up! just came out with a My Digital Studio Catalog! WAHOO! It's 76 pages, so I don't know about printing it . . . but pretty cool that it's all in one place now! Be sure to mark it as a favorite!

Want to see other creative work, forums, or videos? There is a website just designed for My Digital Studio!

We've got Cousin Night, with Theresa's (sister) boys, at our house tomorrow night . . . so I'll be sure to snap some photos of all the boys! The boys look so forward to this night every month! :o)

I made some Valentine/Anniversary cards, for Theresa and Jenny, but since their anniversaries aren't until Monday . . . I'm not going to post the pictures until then. :o( I don't wanna spoil the surprise, if they go out here . . . 'ya know? I hope they like 'em!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Upline Challenge

We have a downline meeting today, at Jeri's house (my upline)! Nothing like a few hours of "girl time" and incorporate a meeting too, huh?

Jeri gave us a challenge, at our last downline meeting . . . to make a card or project, made from an inspiration (color, punches, etc). I went surfing through Oriental Trading's website and found a train magnetic photo frame (right). Figured it was really cute and given the age of our boys, thought it'd be perfect . . . here's the card that I came up with.

Nathan helped me out with the eye and mouth, on our train. :o) He did a pretty good job, don't you think?

I guess your inspiration for a project really can come from anywhere! Start looking through your catalogs, to see what you can come up with! :o)

I hope you have an inspirational day! Thanks for stopping by my craft room.

January is almost gone . . .

I can't believe that January is almost gone! Just a few more weeks until spring . . . right?! :o)

We're supposed to get a major snow storm (or so they're saying) this week. Nothing like what the northeast folks are dealing with . . . but a snow storm just the same. Hoping it misses us completely!

We started a Stamp Club this year, where the girls take turns ordering $25 in SU! products and then take turns being the hostess (with all the hostess benefits too) . . . here's a picture of the gals making their projects. We sure had a great time the other night!

Stay warm & drive safely! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

January Projects

Sorry it's been me so long! Seems that we've had something to do all the time . . . including weekends! :o) This weekend will be no different!

I meant to post the projects last night, but it took me two hours to get home last night . . . then it was time to eat, take baths, and then go to bed! Thank goodness falling snow looks so beautiful!

Here are the January projects . . . we're using the Take a Spin stamp set & the Game Spinners, with the card on the right, decorate a Stamp Case (with your choice of DSP), and make a Valentine's Day card.

Hope to see you at the workshop! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Handmade Gift Exchange

There are a number of us gals that get together for a handmade gift exchange. The only stipulations are that it has be ~$5 and made by someone (if not yourself, that's okay). Aren't they gorgeous?

Here are the beautiful handmade gifts I received:
Karen: Acrylic bag (with breast cancer pen & sticky notepad), acrylic clothes pin (with snowflakes) and M&M jar
Tammy: Tumbled coasters (with SU!m edallion stamp)
Theresa: Family tile (with SU! medallion stamp)

Cara: Elf shoe with chocolate bar chimney and bells
Steff: Santa terracotta pot (Steff painted by hand)
Jenny: Monogrammed towel and hot chocolate holder

I made a clock, made with the SU! medallion stamp too! Didn't know it was going to be a medallion Christmas?! :o) Who would have thunk that three of us used that one stamp? Just goes to show you how versitle it is, huh?!

Thank you ladies, for such wonderful gifts! You're such talented women . . . it's no wonder I enjoy time with you gals! :o)

Thank you for stopping by my craftroom . . . need to get Christmas cards in the mail today!

Christmas Postcard

Is it just me, or does it feel that Christmas is sneaking up on me to fast?!

I can't believe that Christmas is two weeks from Saturday!! We have so much to do . . . and we have 2 family holiday celebrations + a birthday party too! GEEZ!

I hadn't even gotten our Christmas cards done yet! So . . . what'd I do?! I whipped out the My Digital Studio and created a postcard! I'll print these off and then mat them on some cardstock (Cherry Cobbler of course)!

This was kind of fun, putting multiple pictures all together. Whatcha think?

Have a happy weekend! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

BSA Locomotive

I did something I hadn't done before . . . a solid colored background, with nothing else! I wanted the pictures to be the focal point.

The background color IS the color of the locomotive though, using the color picker, and used the color picker again . . . for the photo mats colors. Why not? The colors all look great on the train, why not incoporate the colors . . . easy peasy!

I'm feeling pretty comfortable with scrapbook pages, using MDS, I really need to try my hand at the cards! I'll try it an then post what happened . . . good, bad, or ugly . . . I promise! Giving myself a challenge there, aren't I?

Hope you're having a great day! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

First KU Game

We took the boys to their first KU game, ealier this month. Nathan & Patrick had an absolute blast!

I'd toyed with what to use as a background . . . the solid KU blue was okay . . . but it didn't pop. I'd taken a picture of the crowd . . . so I'd enlarged it (it pixelated, but that's okay) and then changed the opacity to 25%. You still still see the blue background . . . but you can somewhat see the crowd too, just kind of intermingled. :o) This is one of my favorite ways of doing backgrounds.

I'm definitely catching up on getting pictures into MDS (My Digital Studio) scrapbook pages! I'm having so much fun playing with MDS . . . I think I got another weekend event to scrapbook, when we took the boys to see the BSA train engine.

Happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by my craft room!

Family Hayride Night

Hope everyone's Thankgiving holiday went well. The four of us stayed here at home and had a nice/little Thanksgiving dinner. I did get to contribute (a little) in the making of our dinner . . . I made my Mom's dressing recipe. The rest of the dinner, Terry made . . . and he did a fantastic job too! Nathan sure did put away Grandma Betty's cranberry salad! :o)

After a week, I am doing much better! I'm only taken pain medication 3 times a day and I've expaned into canned corn today! WAHOO! :o) I'm using the boy's old baby spoons, so that I don't get overly confident and take too much of a bite . . . knew keeping these things on hand would help out someday?!

I did get out the laptop today, to do some digital scrapbooking . . . the boy's pack has an annual Family Hayride Night. We always have a great time with Caleb's (Nathan's BFF) family.

I just love the picture of Caleb, Nathan, Patrick, and Jim (Caleb's Dad), on the hayride, bottom right picture. Isn't it a cute picture of them? I share the scrapbook pages I finish, with Caleb's Mom . . . she loves taking pictures, but that's about as far as the pictures get. I'm trying to get her on the side . . .

The boys go back to school tomorrow. :o( I'm sure going to miss my 'lil snuggle-buddies!

Thanks for stopping by my craftroom! Hope you have fantastic week!
